I'm Lost For The Last Time
It's hard to say goodbye to an old friend. This friend has given me five seasons of incredible eye opening scenarios, intriguing thoughts of time travel, adventurous journeys through jungles, a mysterious moving cabin on a mysterious invisable island with a just as mysterious man named Jacob.
Head exploding physics, math, electromagnetism and oodles of quantum this, casimire that and of course the Valenzetti Equation. Philosophers, mathamaticians, scientists, mad men, heroes, strong fierce women. The Others. The Hostiles. The good guys, the bad guys and most important, a man of science and a man of faith.
This genius show treated it's audiance like viewers with brains. It was courageous enough to show us that a TV series storyline didn't have to be wrapped up in 60 minuntes. It was a brave new way of giving us a look at a living, breathing, moving book. And I couldn't wait until the next chapter that would ultimately give us more questions then answers! Each week was breath takingly surprising, delightful, exciting, romantic, silly, sometimes teary eyed sad and always always rewarding. A story of flawed people finding a different path. A path that just might lead to redemption.
And now, sadly, this is the last season of this phenomenal odyssey created by J.J. Abrams. My hat is off to Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof for giving me my monies worth. Well actually, I would have loved these last 3 seasons to have had full 22/24 episodes instead of only 16 episodes per season but I'm a greedy lostie junkie, so sue me! :-)

Goodbye to all of you that made this fantastic voyage on an enchanted island such a joy to watch each week. Dear Reader, if you have not watched this show, I gently urge you to at least check it out for yourself. I'm an easy one to get lost in the fantasy of a book or be pulled willingly into the drama of a good movie and I admit, a good yarn like Lost will swallow me whole. So if you are the type who enjoys something that doesn't always end with and easy fix or all the answers, this could be right up your alley.
Here's to Sayid, a once torturer with a tender heart who became a warrior to save his friends.
Here's to Charlie, a reluctant junkie that crashed to earth on flight 815 and ended up sacrificing himself for the safety of the woman he loved.
Here's to Michael, Walt's father, a man who would do anything to get his son back.
Well Gentle Reader, I'll have to leave it here for tonight. As much as I would love to continue on for all eternity about all things Lost, I'm going to have to call it a night. Thank you for taking this voyage with me through the imagination of some very talented people who brought us a show like none other, and I hope you will continue on with me as I give a salute to more of the magic that made Lost so unique. Good Night!
